Rev. Carla Ivison, the founder of A World Alliance of Interfaith Clergy, passed away after a long illness on September 24th, 2011 with her children by her side. Rev. Carla was a mother, a long time Connecticut resident, and had a long career in publishing and editing. She was ordained an interfaith minister in 2004 after completing the studies and training at The New Seminary, in New York City. That same year she founded A World Alliance of Interfaith Clergy, serving as its Executive Director until 2009.
Carla’s vision of AWAIC being a professional home for interfaith clergy, building bridges to a peaceful world community, still informs us today.
