BIO:

Nancy Ellen Scotina has been working in the Healing Arts for over 30 years. She is a creative artist, yogi, minister, teacher and Registered Nurse and approaches her care of others with this full perspective. However, it is her life journey that gives her a unique perspective into the healing of others. The most valuable wisdom Nancy has in helping others did not come from any school or book, but rather through a painful and complicated healing path.

Several years after graduating from St. Anselm’s College with a BS in nursing, she was faced with an onset of serious illnesses of the brain and nervous system, leading her into a physical, mental, and spiritual emergency. She found solace at the Kripalu Yoga and Health Center in Lenox, MA. The principles of Yoga, Meditation, Energy healing and diet/nutrition put her on a life saving path, reversing the statistics of her health conditions and curing herself of conditions that had “no cure” in traditional Western medicine.

The spiritual emergence she experienced all those years ago continues to bless her life to this day, having propelled her into learning many different healing modalities that enrich her life both personally and professionally. She has returned to Kripalu many times, learning and experiencing everything from energy healing and transformation to Buddhism and mindfulness, and studied meditation there with renowned Jack Kornfield. These programs put her on a path to earn two Masters Degrees from the American Institute of Holistic Theology in Metaphysics and Holistic Ministries. She is also a Reiki Master and has studied at the John Harvey Grey Center for Reiki Healing as well as volunteering with Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Reiki Program. She is a certified Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Instructor and Art&Yoga Facilitator studying with renowned Teachers such as Hari Kirin Kaur Khalsa, Ajeet Kaur Khalsa, and Mahankirn Kaur Khalsa. She is also a Certified ChildLight Yoga Instructor.

Nancy is an Ordained Interfaith Minister. She is a member of IKYTA and AWAIC.

Nancy Ellen lives with her husband in Peabody, MA, where they raised their 2 children together.
